Tanda Tula is a proud participant in the Timbavati Association that involves itself in a number of projects to uplift and empower local inhabitants.
All the Lodges in the Association carry out work in their surrounding communities to provide much-needed education, training and work opportunities. Projects include Bush School, Wild Hope and HIV/Aids awareness programmes.
Locals are trained and employed as guides, trackers, lodge staff, field rangers and labourers. Work to constantly combat erosion and alien invasion provides an income for up to 500 people seasonally.
